MELT – Mass Engagement & Listing Technology

Project Pressure is generating an online platform, MELT enabling the public to upload their own photos. This will allow year-on-year comparisons to document glacier change. Such a future-focused platform will encourage the public to actively take part and contribute to Project Pressure. MELT will create long-lasting scientific value with minimal technical entry boundaries.

The platform will utilize social network capabilities, and allow for WGMS-verified scientists to distribute a wish list for data/pictures to be gathered and uploaded by the public. The open source approach, free and accessible to all, will ultimately create an archive for humankind.
